Small Steam Deck Client Beta Goes Live – January 30

A small update has gone live for beta and preview members on Steam Deck.

The latest update, which went live on January 30, aims to fix a handful of issues tied to the Steam Deck’s controller.

General
  • Fixed right-shift and nearby keys of [the] onscreen keyboard sometimes not working
  • Fixed “a” and “c” keys triggering an animation on the game details page
  • Fixed controller guide button shortcut summary showing an incorrect icon
Steam Input
  • Fixed an issue where the deadzone slider would get clipped in the controller configurator

If you’re not already in the beta or preview channel, you can update your preferences by heading into the Steam Deck’s Settings menu, then navigating through  System to  Steam Update Channel.

In other Steam Deck news, our latest batch of performance reviews and settings guides take aim at the brilliant Elden Ring, TianDing, Dying Light, Dark Souls, and the somewhat controversial GTA: The Trilogy.
