The Forspoken PC specs have been revealed and they look like they’re going to push the Steam Deck to its limit.
I think it’s safe to say recommended and ultra are straight out the window. Right now, Steam Deck users’ best hope is the minimum specs, and even that may be a push, especially given how the Deck utilizes wrappers to let Windows games run on Linux. That extra pressure always has the potential to affect performance at the best of times. Maybe this is one for those who’ve installed Windows on Steam Deck?

There’s also the issue of the required storage space, which instantly excludes the base 64GB model unless you plan on running it from a memory card. In fact, even the 256GB crowd may need to consider investing in an SD card at that size.
It’s safe to say, these specs are sure to push the Steam Deck to its fullest.
Forspoken launches on January 24, 2023, for PS5 and Windows devices. I’ve put in a review request to test it out on the Steam Deck and have yet to receive a reply. I’ll be sure to keep you updated should that change.
