ASUS ROG Ally BIOS 322 Update Released (And What It Does)

ASUS has released a host of fixes and improvements for the ASUS ROG Ally.

The latest set of updates includes fixes for a boot problem, the ability to access BIOS configuring from within Armoury Crate, alternative refresh rate options, alt and F4 compatibility to force-close games, and a temporary fix for the potential overheating problem.

Following reports of performance degradation, fried SD cards, and deadzone problems, ASUS recently said it was having trouble working out the cause of the issues. While ASUS investigates, part of the latest patch includes tweaks of the ROG Ally’s fan curves in an attempt to cool the system more than it usually needs. The logic here is that a cool system means less of a chance of damaging SD cards.

Currently, chat online isn’t sure of what’s causing SD cards to break either. The popular theories at the moment are it’s down to either heat-related problems or user error (doing something you shouldn’t).

I found my own SD card refused to mount after around 100 hours of playtime. Thankfully, there is a fix to get it working again if that’s the problem you’re having.
