How many times have you been out exploring then you suddenly run out of space? The likely answer is “far too many.” Instead of having a nice stroll, you’re now looking at item weights and playing Tetris with your inventory. Do you drop the expensive claymore because it’s so heavy or those 25 daggers you’ve been keeping just in case? Decisions, decisions…
You know what would solve this age-old dilemma? No, not a bigger backpack. Not storage space. How about if you never left home in the first place? Literally!
REKA’s big hook is that your home isn’t static. In fact, it’s got big ol’ chicken legs and can follow you around. It’s terrifying and intriguing in equal measure. Here, take a look at this weirdly-cute monstrosity.
Set in a late 19th century Europe, REKA tells the story of a young Slavic witch and her adventures. You know the score, collect stuff, craft things, explore different wildernesses. But what really grabbed me here is the house. It’s fully customizable – complete with furniture and everything. It’s kind of like Disney Dreamlight Valley if it were made by Tim Burton. Or at least, that’s the vibe I’m getting.
