A newly-released update to the SteamGridDB plugin has added a bunch of useful new features.
Leading the pack is the ability to change the position and size of logos. Want a massive logo? How about a tiny one? Hate left-aligned logos? You can fix that now.
Check it out in action in the slider image below. It’s pretty cool.
The other big element in this update is support for simplified Chinese, Czech, Dutch, and Italian languages, as well as updates to German, Greek, Spanish, Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Swedish, and Ukrainian.
Elsewhere in the update, a new tutorial video plays when you click on the SteamGridDB plugin – shown above – and there’s now an option to use official Steam assets on a non-Steam game.
If you’re yet to test out the SteamGridDB, you really should. It’s a killer app that lets you customize artwork on Steam Deck in a matter of clicks. It’s super easy to use, which is great if you’re new to Linux.
If you do end up installing the Decky and SteamGridDB, definitely be sure to check out how to set custom sounds and background music while you’re there. I’ve currently got my Steam Deck rocking the PS4 background music with Wii sounds. It’s as chaotic as you’d expect.
