GameSir T4 Kaleid

GameSir has released the GameSir T4 Kaleid; a new wired controller for Windows, Android, and Switch that boasts hall effect dual sticks and RGB lighting.

Why are the hall effect sticks such a big deal? That’s because following on from the Switch stick-drift problems, companies have started opting for more robust solutions. Hall effect sticks are designed in such a way that they should never suffer from drift problems.

Close up promo shot of the GameSir T4 Kaleid on a dark grey background. Pink and green lights can be seen on the edge of the controller on the left. While the right controller's edges are bathed in a purple and yellow glow.

The GameSir T4 Kaleid also features a quick-switch mode button for those who want to change between hair-trigger and analog trigger modes.

Hair-trigger reduces the distance the trigger needs to be pressed before a click is registered by locking the triggers in place at lower heights. The analog mode – full presses – is what most will use for racing games and the like. It’s a similar setup to what I saw when I went hands-on with the Razer Wolverine V2 Pro, albeit at a much lower price.

Elsewhere, the GameSir T4 Kaleid also comes with motion controls, and that same button that changes the trigger modes can be used to change the RGB lighting colors and its brightness. Flip the GameSir T4 Kaleid over and you’ll find two programmable back buttons that you can set in the GameSir Windows app.

Lastly, the GameSir T4 Kaleid costs $43/£37 and is available now through the GameSir online store and AliExpress (Amazon will arrive shortly).
