Edifier has launched its latest speakers, the QR65, which includes both Edifier’s lush hi-res tuning and is perfect for charging devices quickly.
I touched upon this in my Edifier S3 review the other day, but I’m someone who’s getting tired of constantly needing to charge different devices. The only thing worse than that is plugging something in and finding it’s not even capable of fast charging. The QR65 aims to fix this issue, thanks to the inclusion of TurboGaN.
For those unfamiliar, TurboGaN utilizes fast-charging protocols along with full-time temperature control and smart power-assigning delivery. In short, this tech will charge your devices as quickly as they possibly can and offers minimal risks of damage or overcharging. I’m absolutely going to be jamming my Steam Deck into it whenever the battery drops to red.
The QR65 also boasts hi-res lossless audio playback, lighting, a sub-out port for bass heads, and is compatible with the Edifier Connect app. That last bit is great news, as the Edifier app, while barebones, makes changing up the lighting really simple. I used it when I reviewed the QD35 gaming speakers and it made my life so much easier.
In terms of pricing, the QR65 active monitor speakers come in at $369.99/ £329.99. If desktop speakers aren’t your thing, or you’re after some ear-rattling bass, don’t forget to check out the truly luscious SW1000W speakers while you’re at it.
