Hot on the heels of the beloved Nitro Deck, CRKD has revealed a new controller with nine different styles.
The Neo S features an almost NES-like design, albeit the NEO S ditches the sharp corners in favor of a more rounded design. It’s kind of like a mix between the NES and the SNES in that regard. It’ll also come equipped with Hall Effect sticks. Those are the ones that drop the chances of stick drift down to as close to zero as is currently possible. The stick tops of each stick can also be switched out when it becomes worn down or your kid decides to chew on it. Yeah, that’s happened a few times.

As mentioned, nine different designs will be available, with three of the nine being designed by custom controller fanart extraordinaire, POPeART. The nine versions have been listed below, although I suggest checking out the images on the page to get a better idea of what they’ll all look like.
- Retro Gold Edition
- Classic Clear Edition
- Atomic Red Edition
- Emerald Green Edition
- Orange Zest Edition
- Electric Pink Edition
- Splatter Edition by POPeART
- Blossom Edition by POPeART
- Junkyard Edition by POPeART
For the layout, the NEO S makes use of the Nintendo Y, X, B, and A face buttons with an asymmetrical stick placement. On the back of the NEO S you’ll also find two programable back buttons. CRKD also notes the NEO S will get an app on iOS and Android to let users register controller variants to their collection. Said app will also see an update in the future that lets owners tweak settings, remap buttons, set trigger activation points, and other customization options.
The NEO S is due for release this coming April and will retail for $49.99/£49.99 exclusively from the CRKD website.
