If you’ve been on the fence about picking up the Steam Deck, Valve has just knocked 10 percent off the asking price thanks to the latest Steam Sale.
That brings the prices to as low as $359.10 for the basic Steam Deck. That’s the one I got with the intention of eventually upgrading the eMMC to a larger solid-state drive, something Valve doesn’t recommend but is very possible and easy to do anyway.
- 64GB (eMMC): Was $399 – Now $359.10/£314.10
- 256GB (NVMe SSD): Was $529 – Now $476.10/£413.10
- 512GB (NVMe SSD and anti-glare screen): Was $649 – Now $584.10/£512.10
If you end up going with the 64GB model, make sure you get a memory card because you will fill the drive fast. Also, if you’re unsure about what the differences between the three models are, I took a look at what you get with each model.
When purchasing a Steam Deck, make sure you’re aware it’ll take around two weeks to get to you. Mine felt like it took a decade to arrive but in reality it was around the two-week mark as well. What can I say, I’m impatient.
